I am so excited to have you consider our office for your orthodontic needs. There is nothing that can compare to the pleasure I get from giving someone a wonderful smile. That moment when the braces finally come off and you see your new smile is priceless to me and I would love to share it with you.
Dr. Ruth
About me:
I was born and raised in Homestead, Florida. Upon graduating from high school I left Homestead for Gainesville to become a GATOR! And yes, I do bleed orange and blue (just ask my husband). My education includes:
| BS in Microbiology with high honors |
University of Florida 1977 |
| Doctor of Dental Medicine (D.M.D.) With honors |
University of Florida 1983 |
| Orthodontic Specialty Certificate |
Louisiana State University 1985 |
In 1993 I became the first female from the L.S.U. Orthodontic Program to become a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics. Board certification involves additional testing and presentation of orthodontic cases to the Board. Only 30% of the Orthodontists in the U.S. complete this process.
Participation in Professional Associations includes:
- American Association of Orthodontists
- Southern Association of Orthodontists
- Florida Association of Orthodontists
- The Central Florida Orthodontic Study Club
- American Dental Association
- Upper Pinellas Dental Association
- Pinellas County Dental Association
I was in private practice in the Ormond Beach/Daytona Beach area for 10 years prior to relocating with my husband, to the Pinellas county area in 1995.
I share life with my husband, 1 furry four-footed child (cat), and various sea creatures on the edge of Tampa Bay.
When not in the office I enjoy flying, fishing, boating, and Gator games. I am a member of the Rotary Club of Seminole, am a member of the Largo Chamber of Commerce, and volunteer at All Children's Hospital.
